We are seeking an experienced VP of Sales with Food/Retail Grocery experience to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth through outside sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in technical sales and account management, with a strong background in sales leadership and customer service. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing sales teams, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Duties

Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales targets.
Manage and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales goals.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize sales processes.
Conduct market research to stay current on industry trends and customer needs.
Utilize technical sales skills to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to potential customers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and prospects.
Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales efforts with business goals.
Manage and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of Sales in food, CPG or Retail grocery experience.
5+ years of Sr. Dir or VP level experience.
Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing sales teams.
Excellent customer service and account management skills.
Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
Travel: 30-40% based on needs.
