Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead and drive the company's growth initiatives within the nutraceuticals sector. Responsibilities:
- Drive company growth by establishing new customer relationships, managing key accounts, and exceeding sales goals.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer behavior and decision-making processes, providing insights to the marketing and senior management teams to refine the value proposition.
- Establish strong, lasting relationships through trademark agreements and annual contracts with key customers.
- Collaborate with marketing to uncover new customer segments, unfulfilled needs, and market trends, turning them into profitable opportunities.
- Stay ahead of the curve by building a comprehensive knowledge base of competitor activities, industry shifts, and consumer trends.
- Design and execute account-specific marketing and promotional strategies that align with budgetary guidelines, delivering impactful results
- Utilize CRM tools (HubSpot) to streamline sales processes, manage leads, nurture relationships, and boost customer retention.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts by consistently delivering high-quality products, in the right quantities, at the agreed time and price.
- Meet all administrative deadlines with relevant and actionable information while continuously striving to surpass customer and business expectations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- MUST HAVE at least five (5) years of experience in B2B sales, specifically in the nutraceutical sector, with a proven ability to sell science-based, technical products.
- Proven experience in sales of functional ingredients, in particular ingredients for hair health is a bonus.
- Possesses a deep understanding of customer needs, business models, and decision-making processes, with the ability to translate this knowledge into effective strategies.
- Adept at negotiating agreements that lock in value for the company while fostering long-term customer loyalty.
- Genuine enthusiasm for the natural health industry, with a commitment to both learning and educating customers.
- Proven track record in identifying and converting new business opportunities, alongside managing and growing existing account bases.
- Motivated to hit and exceed targets, with a keen eye for identifying risks and opportunities and pivoting to meet challenges head-on.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Proficient with CRM software (HubSpot) and skilled in business software systems (Microsoft Office), particularly Excel.
Compensation: $120,000 - 140,000
