Head of Global Sales - Nutritional Supplements & Natural Products Industry

The Head of Global Sales for Wiley CPG will be responsible for driving global revenue growth, market share, and profitability for the company's brands and product lines. The role requires a visionary sales leader with a deep understanding of the global supplements market, distribution channels, and consumer trends. You will lead and inspire a high-performance sales team and broker network, develop strategic partnerships, and implement innovative strategies to achieve global sales targets.

What you'll do:

Sales Strategy and Leadership

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to expand market penetration and drive revenue growth in both established and emerging markets.
Lead, manage, and mentor the global sales and broker teams, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Analyze market trends and customer needs to adapt sales strategies to changing market dynamics.
Collaborate with product development, marketing, and regulatory teams to ensure that products meet market demands and compliance standards.

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels across global markets.
Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retailers in the nutritional supplement industry.
Oversee pricing strategies, discount policies, and sales promotions to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
Manage sales P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and sales performance metrics.

Customer & Partner Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
Develop global partnerships with distributors, online platforms, and retail chains to maximize sales.
Ensure exceptional customer experience and satisfaction by overseeing customer service initiatives and resolving key account issues.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive actions, and emerging global markets in the nutritional supplements space.
Collaborate with the marketing and R&D teams to ensure alignment between product offerings and market demand.
Provide leadership in determining customer segmentation, value proposition, and brand positioning across different markets.

Team Management & Development

Lead the recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing global sales team.
Set performance targets, provide ongoing feedback, and foster professional growth for team members.
Establish a data-driven sales culture, ensuring the use of sales analytics and performance metrics to track success and identify improvement areas.

What we're looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a strong track record of success in the global supplements or health & wellness industry.
Proven ability to drive growth in B2B and B2C sales channels.
Experience working with international markets, including North America, Europe, and Asia, and managing cross-functional global teams.
Expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments related to nutritional supplements.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities to forecast and plan sales activities effectively.
Proven ability to execute sales plans and adapt to market changes swiftly.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Utilize and promote Wiley CPG tools – NetSuite CRM, JIRA work management, Confluence, and Nielson.

Location: This role can be based remotely or from our satellite office in New Albany, OH, with regular travel (10-20%) to visit customers, attend industry events, and support company initiatives. Attendance of all major industry trade shows at which Wiley CPG is an exhibitor is expected.
