Overview:
Synbio Technologies is seeking a dynamic and motivated Field Sales to drive growth and build long-term relationships with clients in the Biology and DNA industry. This role will focus on strategic account management, identifying new opportunities, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, strong selling skills, and a customer-focused approach to thrive in an evolving, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth in the assigned territory.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and industry professionals to identify new opportunities and expand market share.
- Conduct impactful in-person meetings with clients and key decision-makers to establish trust, present Synbio’s product portfolio, and tailor solutions to meet their unique needs. These meetings will be essential in developing strong, lasting relationships and understanding client pain points.
- Deliver effective educational sessions and presentations for potential and existing clients, ensuring clear communication of Synbio’s value propositions.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions to meet client needs and align with company objectives.
- Utilize CRM tools to track, manage, and report on sales activities and pipeline performance.
- Travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet with clients face-to-face, attend conferences, and represent Synbio Technologies at industry events. These interactions will be a core part of the role and may include evening or weekend commitments as necessary.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and provide timely feedback to internal teams.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Synbio’s product portfolio and effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
- Work virtually when necessary, developing trust and relationships with stakeholders through digital engagement and outbound calls.
- Organize and attend relevant industry conferences to build networks and promote Synbio Technologies’ offerings.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and marketing guidelines while utilizing approved resources to support sales activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution is required.
- Previous Outside Sales experience in CRO/biotech specialty sales or DNA/Biology industry is preferred.
- A valid, clean driver’s license issued in the United States is required, with the ability to travel within the assigned area.
- Must reside within Boston, the West Coast Area.
- Prior experience working in a team environment at an account level and in an international setting is strongly preferred.
- Strong account management and selling skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Opportunistic and driven with a proven ability to succeed in ambiguous and evolving environments.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively conduct in-person meetings to build rapport and trust with clients, uncover needs, and present customized solutions.
- Effective presentation skills across multiple engagement platforms, including in-person, phone, and virtual tools.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work virtually and independently when required, leveraging digital tools to engage with stakeholders.

Pay: $73,602.00 - $150,000.00 per year
