The Opportunity
Our path into Sales Management is built to identify and develop exceptional sales talent who not only excel in sales but embody our mission, vision, and values. Over the course of 3-6 months, you'll experience a phased transition from outstanding individual producer to respected team leader, preparing you for a full-time Sales Manager role.
Phase 1: Leadership Criteria for Consideration (First 3 Months)
- Alignment with Mission & Values: Consistently reflect WormWood SEO’s vision and values in every interaction.
- Team Influence: Build strong relationships, gaining respect through positive contributions.
- Sales Process Mastery: Demonstrate mastery of our sales process, setting a standard for the team.
- Active Engagement: Fully participate in team activities and communications.
- Ethical Sales Practices: Maintain integrity and set realistic client expectations for long-term satisfaction.
- Consistent High Performance: Stay in the top 10% of producers for three consecutive months.
- Personal Growth: Complete tailored reading assignments for leadership development.
Phase 2: Sales Manager in Training (SMIT) Transition
Upon meeting the leadership criteria, you’ll embark on a three-month SMIT transition, gaining practical leadership experience and preparing for full-time management responsibilities. This includes:
- Month 4: Shadowing and Training: Start with shadowing our current sales leader to understand daily leadership tasks. You’ll also complete Modules 1-4 of our SMIT Course, focused on foundational leadership and management concepts.
- Month 5: Co-Management and Continued Training: Take on co-management responsibilities, collaborating with the current leader on team management and performance tracking. Complete Modules 5-8 of our SMIT Course, honing your skills in team dynamics and performance metrics.
- Month 6: Independent Leadership with Oversight: Step into an independent leadership role, with ongoing support and oversight from our sales leader. You’ll finalize your training with Modules 9-12, covering advanced strategies and full leadership responsibilities.
After completing the SMIT process, you’ll be ready to step into a full-time Sales Manager role, leading a team to success and making a lasting impact at WormWood SEO.
