Looking for a seasoned “national account” sales professional (5-10 years’ experience) for our HotHands/Grabber Brands with a proven track record of success in retail sales and established connections with key retailers. In this role, you'll spearhead our sales efforts, nurturing existing relationships and forging new partnerships to expand our reach. Looking specifically for candidates who work directly with retail buyers and planners. (not VP of Sales working through a team).
With your analytical and strategic mindset and passion for our products, you'll drive growth and make an immediate impact within select drug, grocery, mass and home improvement retailers.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5+ years of Sales experience, preferably in the consumer products industry; within channels of drug, grocery, mass and hardware/home improvement.
· Extensive network and established buyer/planner relationships with top retailers, specifically Target, Walgreen’s, CVS, Kroger, Fred Meyer, Home Depot and Lowe’s.
· Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the value proposition of our products to retailers.
· Well-organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Highly motivated self-starter with a results-oriented mindset.
· Recent professional references must be available and should include references from retailers and/or prior colleagues/supervisors.
· Strong background in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel at least 3-5 years.
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
Ocaissional travel to sales headquarters in Dalton, GA
Responsibilities
· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales objectives
· Leverage existing connections to secure further distribution with top retailers.
· Demonstrate the ability to analyze POS reports at the national, regional and store level and utilize those metrics to identify issues, formulate strategy and execute through a well-thought-out action plan. Company utilizes the PDCA method.
· Responsible for either working with national account directly or managing and directing independent sales reps, brokers within an assigned territory.
· Focus on Channel Strategies within assigned retailers.
· Partner with Merchandising Leadership to assist with analyzing stores and best practices to ensure products have the best possible touch points on retail shelves.
· Collaborate with Sales Representatives across the country on sales initiatives.
- Accurately forecast product inventory supply needs monthly by closely working with the Kobayashi SCM team.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
· Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management.
Working Conditions
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
